Hi, I understand that solder dipping of gold plated units (PCB or component lead) is not the ideal solderability test (leaching of gold in the solder bath being one reason). Would anyone have recommendations as to the ideal solderability tests for g

Don't forget that leadfree solder can leach the iron out of old solder tanks. Make sure yours is compatable with leadfree solder. You don't want the tank disolving, unleashing a tidal wave of molten solder.

I am curious to know anyone has used Samtec SEMA Solder Charge connector (SEARAY Seriese. I have done manufacturer's recommended solder paste and good reflow profile still the solder is leaching to the lead instead of becoming a solder connection. T

I have recently encountered a new pcb design with a very high density of components on either side of the pcb. One of the suggested "fixes" is to use the smt pads as vias i.e. the via will be drilled thorough the centre of the smt pad. My concern i

I have experience in this. My company offers Lead free SMT and Wave soldering. I have processed ImSn, ImAg, Enig, OSP in both smt and wave. Yes, silver leaching will occur. Yes, copper leaching will occur. High tin content solders disolve everyt

Verify your aperture reductions in the stencil. Are the solderballs always in the same location? Same size & shape? Is the solder leaching through plated thermal holes from the opposite side of the PCB? Are you using stencil apertures designed to min
