Hello experts, what would you recommend as a standard practice for stencil replacement? I am having here a stencil from 2004 that is worn out enough and has a small dent on the image, but still have to prove why I want to change it.

Stencils with two PCB layouts

I worked at a place that routinely put up to six images on one stencil. Having two stencils for small boards seems so wasteful to me. Unless you are running them on two lines.

Phil, In the considerations you make for choosing an AOI tool, you should check what a vendor delivers today and what will it be able to deliver in the future. As the role of AOI in the SMT production line evolves from "detection" to "prevention"
