Heller did a tall tunnel for a customer in Florida a few years ago for a very similar application. As I recall, it was 3". Marc Peo or Don DeAngelo at Heller shold remember the details.

5v or 12v feeders.....and are you sure the parts fit through the feeders and are not getting jammed. On some of the old feeders you had to remove the springs and other parts to make the tall caps work.... chow

Is it acceptable to apply an acrylic conformal coat, cure and then apply a silicone RTV on top (for staking tall components)? Should there be a concern with the bond between the acrylic and the RTV?

Not sure what you mean by thicker embossed tape. I've only seen one thickness as far as the tape, but I have seen electrolytic caps on tape that were too tall for the feeders.

Don't count out a wave pallet. if the led's are not an extremely tall part a pallet might be just the thing for running something like this at a higher volume.

What? When and where did this happen? What company?!?! You could sue the wave manufacturer or didn't your company have insurance? Sounds like a shady operation to me or just a tall tale.

Hi Habsfan, if we're mount the THP first, we can't run SMT due to tTHP is tall and big which will causing the PNP to be chaos. Btw, my solder paste location is more than glue location which (solder paste : glue) is 2:1.
