Can you afford or have room for the TP9 as well? Bobpan is right about the Quad, just commit, but the TP9 may off you more relief as well. They too are good machines, easy to learn and set-up.

im looking to buy a pick and place machine and right now the two that have caught my eye are the Philips Topaz and the Mydata TP9. just tring to figure out which is better?

Hi Bert, For your second issue, are the tools well lubricated? If not the Midas head can fail to grab the tool and can generate the z motor error. Doing this followed by a base-centre level measurement should resolve your problem. Steve

No luck yet. Also cannot buy a Cent electrode motor from manufacturer. Anybody know of sources where we can buy spares for TP-9. Thanks

Mydata TP9-2U gives error code MOT1-38/186:MSETDYNX What is that code ? Machine give that code and wont make start up process. Appreciate if someone has knowledge that code, thanks.

Our TP9 UFP machine keeps nicking the edges of A12 tool tips. I think it is because the X axis is bouncing when it comes to the component pick position. When the X bounces it is causing the tool to hit the tape hold down arm. Has anyone ever encount
