Morning All, I have to choice between two axial through hole machines: Panasert AVK 3 and Universal VCD Sequencer 8. I will insert axial components with 0,45 mm to 0,8 mm component lead diameter and perform jumper wire insertion in the same machine.

We use our MIRTEC to inspect Thru hole axial components after they've come off of the Universal VCD machine. I just add them to the centroid data in Circuitcam and the operators program the images like any other part.

UIC still manufacturers new thru-hole machines. Both axial and radial insertion models are available. They stopped making the multi-mod dip inserters in '91 or '92. And parts are easily acquired for any older models, there were a ton of machines out

They have the part because they're selling the part. UIC's Replacement Parts Division doesn't care about when a machine was built. All they're concerned about is what parts are selling. That old part I'll bet was for an axial VCD inserter or sequence
