Morning All, I have to choice between two axial through hole machines: Panasert AVK 3 and Universal VCD Sequencer 8. I will insert axial components with 0,45 mm to 0,8 mm component lead diameter and perform jumper wire insertion in the same machine.

We use our MIRTEC to inspect Thru hole axial components after they've come off of the Universal VCD machine. I just add them to the centroid data in Circuitcam and the operators program the images like any other part.

I am an EMS provider building mixed technology assemblies. We are currently using Universal Multi Mod and VCD machines for our auotomated thru-hole. These are the 20 year old technology machines and I am investigating alternative pieces of equipmen

UIC still manufacturers new thru-hole machines. Both axial and radial insertion models are available. They stopped making the multi-mod dip inserters in '91 or '92. And parts are easily acquired for any older models, there were a ton of machines out

They have the part because they're selling the part. UIC's Replacement Parts Division doesn't care about when a machine was built. All they're concerned about is what parts are selling. That old part I'll bet was for an axial VCD inserter or sequence

I have no affiliation with Universal other than being a customer. We use the VCD/Radial 8 series machines. We run them 24 hours a day, 6 days a week. We spend approx. 30 minutes per machine per week maintaining them. I would recommend them to anybody

Is this across different assemblies or components? HAS the machine been calibrated lately? Are you using an adjustable fixture or dedicated tooling plate? Is it a rotating table and are you using it? Was program generated with CAD data or self taught

I'm having some issues with lead time with my current fabricator of work board holders for my Universal THT machines (I won't name names). I've been waiting for a couple of months on some of my orders from them. My machines have a standard rotating t
