We are looking at getting a new inline SMT reflow oven and I have been shown a new vapour phase oven made by ASSCON. It looks very good - just want to know if any one has used one before and can comment. Thanks

Pete, We have 2 Vapor Phase ovens and use a profiler from Data Pak that has a sleeve that seals out the Vapor for these ovens. This is pretty much the only system that we have found for these kinds of ovens. Contact them and they will hook you up.Tha

Hi, Vapor phase is an incredibly process, apart from the tombstoning, that we just could never eliminate. So we had to dump it and go with convection. It's a shame, as the solder joints were incredible! Regards, Grant

"Asscon" made in Germany do a range of vapour phase ovens right from benchtop to inline. Dont know your local agent, goto http://www.asscon.de.

Cooking bags. The ones for "large bird game" work very well. I believ I got them from Hormel. They are not ESD approved, but your thermal recorder should come out dry and well browned.

Hello Hunzo, many thanks for your detailed reply! By the way, I am well familiar with the smell of Galden liquid that is used in vapour phase soldering ovens. Does ADL have the similar smell?
