Almost every machine can import plain ASCII files, internal formats vary a lot and usually are in some kind of binary format. My suggestion is to generate plain ASCII file with at minimum 5 fields : X, Y, theta, RefDes and component type. - Deni

I think Flexa only outputs part data in binary format. From the Flexa help file for the Director-File menu: Export... Exports jobs or part data files (in binary format). Output Recipes Outputs the recipes in a job (in CCIMF format).

I used CircuitCAM to convert my 3AV programs to VIOS programs. Then I massaged the VIOS files with PPS. You won't get a perfect conversion though, you'll need to re-teach the board origin on the Topaz and update the parts. The offline software for

The program reads the Altium PCB directly and does some preprocessing, like centreing DPAK's etc. The ordering of components can be sorted by Designator. Top, bottom, SMT only components can be selected. There are 2 variation on VIOS :- JH_YM100_VIOS

I haven't used this software in a while. There is a way to tell the software what type of files it shows in the board explorer. You would have to move the VIOS text file into the machine folder.

I used to create the file in AutoCAD and save in HPGL format. Open this HPGL file in GCCAM. Hope this is useful
