Does anyone use the side cameras on the YesTech or Mirtec AOI systems? If so, how are you using them? Automated side inspection or as a tool to manually evaluate calls? Thanks James

We are little bit interested with the Yestech YTV-F1 series machine. We are using Landrex AOI eversince ( formerly Teradyne ), the OPTIMA II-7301. How about the price? the OPTIMA-II cost about $97K including the repair station.

we are interested in a desktop AOI. we have to decide in two YESTECH OR MIRTEC. What do you think is the best,( easy to program, low false fail, more complete system) ?

That's hard to quantify. I deal with escapes when they occur, but I haven't kept track of that data. It doesn't happen to often. But when it does, I take it back to the AOI to analyze why it escaped, and change the algorithm to catch it, if I can.

Been using YesTech for about six years now and I'm fairly happy with them. Although they wouldn't be my first choice right now out of all the AOI manufacturers, they would be my choice between the two you're asking about/looking at.

I am looking for users of YesTECH AOI that would be interested in comparing notes on what minor problems you have had and how you may have figured out what you could do that didn't require YesTECH support? Or little tricks that help you make the mac

We did extensive side by side (by side) testing of three AOI machines Omron, YesTech and Mirtec. In the end, even with weighted scores, the difference in the top two machine was still only four/tenths of a point. Third place was a distant 14 points

Dominik, I have to agree with Andrew on his choice of Inspection Technology, but not the vendor. I looked at 2 of the 3 that you are asking about (TRI did not make my cut as I just didn't get a good feeling from them). I also looked at the Mirtec and
