I got a 3000 that is acting crazy. After a print, the board is unclamped and the Z-axis lowers. It continues to lower until it trips the limit switch. It is suppposed to move in the Y-axis to line up with the tracks while lowering in the Z-axis.

We have a MPM UP2000. We are getting a hardware limit error when we turn the machine on and try to reset. The F14 fuse blows every time we replace it. The downstop is the first axis that it tries to go through but we get this error. Any help would be

Do you know in which axis the problem occurs? usually when "hardware limit error" shows is because one of the axis touches the sensor of the limit, this is to prevent the mechanism hit something, If you machine is used, you can check if there is a mi

Giao, These style of MPM's use stepper motors, but no feedback like an encoder or a resolver. In other words all axis positions are assumed after "Reset" of the machine. Because of this style of drive system there is the potential for the vision ga

THe question is - does that happen on all of your programs or just in one program? If it is just this particular board, it might be some softwaRE limit issue. If it happens on more programs it is a hardware issue and it could be one of the following:

Hi, hopefully I am too late, it is fixed and you are up and running. Have you tried MPM support on the phone? We have 2 older MPM's and the blow the driver modules in the bottom drawer on the back of the machine. There are different drivers for dif

Tom, Hardware limit means the machine thinks it is at the limit sensor or a particular axis timed out before it got to the home sensor during the reset sequence. Go to your O/I map and see if any of the axis limit sensors are lit. You could have a

Thank you so much. We actually did get the machine up and running yesterday morning. We switched the theta and the transport driver cards and it is working now. We have had the connectors burn on us in the past and replaced them. I am hoping the prob
