Sounds like you may have a z-axis problem. I would check the axis out and run the z rod up and down by hand to see if there is a problem....sticking,sensor/flag broken....etc. Maybe you can unplug the z-axis card and then turn the machine on to see i

Hello Bob, we changed the nozzle z parameter until we got limit errors and backed up 1 mil. There was a slight reduction in the limit errors on the pickup of the component but it is still a problem. With the mod code we adjust the soft z height to ab

Thanks Bob, I will change the z-rod just to make sure. It is a tall part read at 180. The nozzle height bugs me because we have 3 machines and the first one has a nozzle height of 238 while the 2 others around 200. I am thinking this parameter may ad

If you are referring to having the control knob on the head for the lighting or controlling it through the software... then...version 6.0 works for both. Make sure you go into scp.ini and turn on\off light control. For 0402 parts......you must have

Hi Sound like the same problem that i had. The machine after it had warmed up when initialising would drive the z rod down with the quadalign on checking for the nozzle height (I think). To me it seemed like an overheating problem as after allowin

The way its supposed to work...is....when you do a function 30 the z axis should step down until the nozzle tip is seen in the quad align or laser align. The readout should have a nozzle height but if its the earlier firmware for the machine it might

Make sure that the lens is clean and you dont have any parts down inside on the camera. Also sometimes the leds that shine up to the part are bent in crazy directions. Make sure they look like they are all aimed up at the same direction. Is the brigh

We have two QUAD 4C working in tandem. 3 months ago the EPCU battery (QUAD # 2) died, then we change it. Then downloaded the MODs from the controller to the assembler(does simultaneously on both machines). All this time we continue to work normally.

Hi: Our machine (QUAD 4C) has a CyberOptics laser 6604033; when initialize at HOME, z-rod descends and doesn't retracts, which makes me think that the laser is misaligned, here's a link to the video recording: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W9ma7Zsf

Unfortunately it seems we have a worse problem than a Z rod spring. The machine was running fine this morning but ran out of a part, and when I shut the door and pressed Servo On nothing happens again. I shut down and let sit for a while. Now I get a
