Does anyone have a good source for inspection microscopes? I want something with a lot of zoom. I want to be able to zoom in on one 0603 resitor joint. I am not sure what the magnification on that would be. Anyway that would be what I would want, but

I just got a scope off of Ebay from Precision World. There have been some kinks, but, overall, it was a good experience. The scope I picked up actually zoomed a little too much for our needs (I need to use it for assembly, as well as inspection).

The problem is registration between the stencil & the smallest pads on the 5 substrates. Using SPI s/w I can overlay the paste layer over the PCB image to determine stretch/shrink. Our worst case was shrinkage of 10.2mil on a 5-up 300mm panel - small

We currently own a MV-2HTLP and I was wondering if we can zoom out to check the component that are bigger in size than the view area of the machine at the default position. If it is then can someone please help me out with it.

I think maybe the question was loosely directed to the three pin male terminal inside the red graphic box. But I could be wrong, I could not zoom in very much.
