I have had the purple silkscreen, I don't remember the exact details but it was from either an incomplete cure or a mixing issue. End result was no problems just looked funny.

Thanks Russ. As it turned out, it was an incomplete cure at the fab house. Rhey sent another fab over from the same lot that had sat for 3 more days, and it came out lavender instead of purple! have a good one!

I would not want to be the guy responsible for a non-FDA approved eyewash in my first aid cabinet, for a lot of reasons. #1 is what could happen to someone if it went bad, #2 is what my executives would do to me for putting the shareholders at risk.

muse- I agree with you. You should never mix chemistries if you don't absolutely have to. If you HAVE to, you can go with a lead free BGA with leaded paste with much fewer defects than the other way around.
