PCB TOLERANCE - PANEL ARRAY VS SINGLE

Electronics Forum | Fri Jul 14 16:32:55 EDT 2023 | calebcsmt

Does class 2 vs class 3 PCBs effect variance/tolerance in terms of actual positioning of pads/traces? For example, if fiducial is to be at 10mm. What's the tolerance for class 2 vs class 3? [variance allowed] Does panelization have any effect on t

Re: Aperture Reduction for QFP (fine pitch)

| My stencil thickness is 6 mil and we got qfp's with fine pitch. | how many percent should i reduce my stencil aperture using a 6 mil stencil for 0.5 mm pitch and 0.4 mm pitch ? | | thanks | We use 6 mil lasercut stencils with 15% reduction and th

0.5mm CSP Reliability

Electronics Forum | Wed Apr 23 21:34:24 EDT 2008 | fowlerchang

It is CSP reliability issue, which is the mobile CPU from Spreadtrum. All the tests passed and shipped to customer. They assembly them and tested but failed. After they reflow this CSP with hot air gun, some of the boards passed. We got some board

Clean vs No-Clean

Electronics Forum | Tue Sep 09 09:04:17 EDT 2008 | davef

Oh that's GREAT. Now, we're encouraging engineers blow to saliva on boards. The saliva is made 99.5 percent of water and 0.5 percent of dissolved inorganic compounds. One third of the 0.5 percent are dissolved metal-ions such as Ca2+, Na+, K+, Cl- a

Chinese Production SMT Machines???

Electronics Forum | Fri Mar 02 03:14:01 EST 2018 | reckless

The budget is tiny, I agree. It is more to get our feet wet. We are mostly afraid of adding more steps in the process thereby making it more difficult to implement. I want to avoid a wave soldering machine and also want to avoid making two passes

Oven Throughput

Electronics Forum | Thu Jul 19 23:52:17 EDT 2001 | Victor

Load Factor = Board Length / (Board Length + Space) (you can get the maximum loading factor from the manufacturer, usually ranges from 0.5 to 0.9) Oven Throughput = (Conveyor Speed x Load Factor) / Length per Board

Changing Ni/Au finish to HASL lead free

Electronics Forum | Tue Dec 21 04:09:49 EST 2010 | johanhuizing

0.5 and 0.4 mm pitch, we think we could get problems with the solderpaste stencil. Also some board have keypads and then we have do do partial gold and I think that will not reduce the costs

Prototype SMT Printers

Electronics Forum | Tue Mar 03 09:05:52 EST 2015 | bandjwet

We are in need of a small SMT printer able to double sided boards with an emphasis on fast changeover and the ability to have board supports. Our typical lot size is 1-20 pieces of rigid boards with technologies down to 0.5mm pitch and 0201's.

Sorry, scale division on that would be 0.05mm not 0.02mm. Magnification x24 or thereabouts. Also great for measuring all sort of things on pcbs, stencils etc to see if they come within spec.
