I'm looking for recommendations on pad and stencil design for products with 0.5 mm pitch BGA's. The latest info that I found in the archives of this forum dated more than a year ago. It didn't give me much confidence that assembly of such components

Mils to MM is actaully English to metric. 1 mil is equal to 1 thousandth of an inch (0.001")or 0.0254mm so... 12mil pitch qfp is 0.012" or 0.3mm 15mil pitch qfp is 0.015" or 0.4mm 20mil pitch qfp is 0.020" or 0.5mm (Numbers are rounded)

I will have to process a PQFP 128 with a pitch of 0.4 mm. Given that the width of its leads are about 0.13-0.23 mm, i dread the worst when printing the solder paste. So, i would like to know if some people have yet test this type of fine pitch, what

Please check what is the actual pitch size. I found some of the designer use 15.7 mil pitch and no accumulate ie 15.7, 15.7 and 15.8...... Also, I recommended the pad width should be 10 - 11 mil for 0.4mm pitch. You can open the 10 - 10.5 mil aper
