Answering silly questions like "How do I place 0201 components with machine which can't handle smaller than 0402 components" just would encourage the noob to ask more silly questions.

We have issues with different Juki machines needing different nozzles for 0402 and 0201 components, some 0402s need a 502 and then on another machine it needs a 503. We went away from the 500 nozzle series

Simultaneous pick up with 0402 and 0201 components

Darby, I'm not completely sure I understand. Juki machines have what is referred to as a multi-head. The offsets between the heads are the same as the spacing between 8mm feeders. So the (6) heads all come down at once and "gang pick" from 6 8mm fee

From what I know, Fuji new CP 7 might handle the 0201 pretty well, also, if you get the upgrade kit for the CP6-42. they can handle the 0201 too. The second one can handle the 0201 is the new siemen HS model. I think not only the feeder`s, camera siz

Iam doing some work with O2O1s and am facing tombstoning problems. From screening experiments I find that a N2 reflow results in more number of tombstones than in Air. Would appreciate anyones inputs on why this happens, or how I should tackle the pr

A real small soldering iron, a real steady hand, a qualified solderer. Soldering skill set is key. Iwould sugest a Micro scope. Sonora Mfg (I am sure there are others)has an infinate scope that you can solder under. aside from that....skill set.

Listen. Reworking 0201 is too expensive. Heres watt yado * Cut the lil suka between the pads on the board using side cutters. * Flick each piece from its pad, after melting the solder with a standard soldering iron. * Solder the terminations

TOMBSTONE DEFECTS

Electronics Forum | Tue Mar 11 14:19:24 EST 2003 | Chris Lampron

Good Afternoon, We have found that the occurance of tombstones is usually related to other parameters. Board design, placement accuracy, paste tack time and thermal profile are the most common. We do use a 2% silver paste to process 0201 components
