Why Dry After DI?

Aside from process flows where the next step is: 1 Powering-up an assembly 2 Testing the assembly on electronic test equipment Is there a reason (need) to dry assemblies after water washing followed by a DI water rinse? Or is air drying OK? Dave F

Please check the following: 1.Power supply. 2.SSR control power. 3.OTP or over temp protection at the software. Maybe you set it at low so it reads over temp even at lower temp. If still not ok you may check BTU service engineers. Brian Riggs

Ok.. ignore all the above, the X1 card has failed- nothing more. Can anyone recommend a supplier for a replacement ?

Have you tried to open the MINT program and re download the drivers to the cards? Sometimes the cards fail because the battery does not hold sufficient charge to keep the files intact.

If you are unable to get to Diagnostics to exit to DOS; Try the following: ‘F5’ (WHILE STARTING MS-DOS) –OR ‘CTRL’ – ‘C’ (WHILE HIMEM IS TESTING EXTENDED MEMORY) Once in DOS, CDMINT Type LOAD to download MINTS from HDD to cards. DEKHEAD

If it happened after holiday shutdown; good chance you have onboard battery going bad (battery dropped too low during extended shutdown). Replace batteries to alleviate future occurrence.

haven't tried the MINT as it won't let me get that far !! Swapping the Eproms with card 1 and changing the identifier will let it get to the 'Press SYSTEM key' part of the startup though, then it fails on card 1 instead of 0 so I'll give that a try i
