Is the same marking protocol used when identifying 0603, 0402, etc.. components? For instance, would a 27.4K ohm 1% resistor still have four (4) characters to identify if the body color is black? Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks.

0603 parts are the smallest they will do. If you never have used one I would not suggest trying to start now. That's a first generation machine that is over 20 years old and needs many mechanical adjustments to make it function correctly. Bob

Hello Mark, I cant provide any hands on feedback with 0402 packages but we are using a no clean process with 0603 devices. Here are some parameters which will affect solder balling. Stencil thickness, aperture size, paste viscosity, snap off and bot

Mr. Wilson, Have you considered bulk feeders, some issues with it but it but lees than a 3% loss on 100 placements. Component availability is one thing, getting them in the correct media is another.

I want to check this becuase we are exporting the PCB & there is problem of components missing at customer end in some PCB while we are doing 100% AOI & then ICT testing. These components are checked by both. there is no possiblities that the compone

Russ: Thats a pretty stand-up postin bud. Its neat that you can root-out that dirt. We couldnt dig-up that stuff, if they threatened to shoot the dog. You could be correct about using convex for waving. We dont wave RNET as Philips suggests

Since we are on the topic, What we do over here, is to get SMT Technical to machine pick&place "sample component layouts" onto double-sided tape, which in turn is placed onto an actual PCB... QA will take that double-sided tape sample, and using an
