Hi, Stencil thickness is 12mil. I did not able to attach image due to some error.

| I've had some trouble pasting a test board for a MicroBGA trial. Most of the paste remains in the stencil apertures. | The stencil is 6 mil thick, laser cut and electo-polished. | The apertures are 12 mil in diameter with 20 mil pitch. | We are usi

That pad had a 16 mil dia, so I arrived at 20 mil squares by adding 2 mils to each side of the pad. Following that logic, a 12 mil pad would use a 16 mil square. But a 12 mil pad is on a finer pitch that isn't mentioned, so you should definitely

I guess we should differentiate between machine calibration, process reliability measurements and process capability study. For the machine calibration you use the machines own optical cameras, but for cpk or standard deviation you measure the place

Hi all, Any stencil opening recommendation for 20mils pitch mirco BGA. Currently, using 12mils round opening, 5 mils thickness. Seen to have weak joints as it crack after Ict testing. thks

Steve, On 16mil pitch I would try 12mil diameter on 5mil stencil, unless the BGA ball size is something unexpectedly huge.

What is the best aperture opening for micrBGA with 0.8 mm ball pitch and 16 mils ball diameter? The pad size on the PCB is 12 mils.

Hi Jax, The microbga discussed earlier in the forum is mounted on 16 mils pad whereas mine is on 12 mils pad. Can I use the same aperture opening ?Please advise.

We always reduce side to side, EXAMPLE: 12 mil width reduced to .010". Do you guys check viscosity ? Also maybe your guys are appling to much pressure on the sqweegee blades.

I like to see if anyone has any info or experinces with metal inspection templates in a post oven process. My problem issue is the ESD, since they are metal(12 mil stencil material). I welcome any comment. Thank you.
