Board depanelizing...

Electronics Forum | Tue Feb 29 23:24:59 EST 2000 | Doug Clement

We are currently using a Maestro depanelizer for seperating our boards. We do have component failures due to this process. Has anyone ever used a water-cutting machine. If so, what results can you share with me? Thanks, Doug

Question on Nitrogen Consumption during Reflow

Electronics Forum | Mon Jun 25 14:26:50 EDT 2001 | gdstanton

I'm trying to hammer out the setup and operational costs to add Nitrogen to our SMT reflow process. Anyone have an idea on how much liquid N2 they consume monthly on an Electrovert or Conceptronics reflow oven? Thanks in advance for your help.

It's possible that N2 vogued at the dawn of the NC age. Once practitioners jiggered their profiles and more importantly, paste suppliers developed a decent product; the demand for inerts declined. Day-off sound like a fair trade.
