1996. At the time you had Windows 3.1, Windows95, and DOS 6.2. These are good starts.

Does anyone know what the operating system for a 1996 MPM SPM printer is. The hard disk crashed and I need to reload.

Hi, Must be the time of year. We just went through the same thing, similar year of printer....It was DOS 6.2

Thanks for the info. I have installed Dos 6.22 and re-installed the SPM software. Now when I boot up I get an "invalid installation" error and the program terminates. Are there other setup issues I need to take care of.

CURSE BILL GATES! Your next move should be to perhaps reformat the entire hard drive, re-install the software, and THEN try again.

Ours are 1996 models. No special hoses needed, just attach the air hose and your ready to run.
