Stencil Printing: Single pass vs. Double pass

Electronics Forum | Thu Dec 20 12:05:46 EST 2007 | realchunks

Not you Steven. Blanket comments like "Double pass printing for solder paste is not needed and will cause defects. Redesign your stencil thickness or aperture sizes, change your paste mesh size or type, go to 45 degree blades." are so way off base.

Micro Solder Balls in No Clean Selective Solder Process

Hi Pb-Head I agree with everything you say, except for your statement that alcohol based fluxes perform poorly with convection heat. The fluxes you tried might have performed poorly, but that doesnt mean that all alcohol based fluxes perform poor

Thanks for reply Thats in my mind to remind Process team to modify MPI. We already having some trouble with other components and my eyes were focused on specific problems +what was specifiewd in MPI to be see closely. Do you think we need to revise

Glue

Santiago can still maintain his current PTH, SMT, Reflow, Glue, Wave solder process flow and print glue with a stencil. In this, the bottom-side [contact-side] of the glue stencil requires cutting pockets that correspond with the clinched PTH leads.

Can anyone tell me that between Mirtek & Kohyoung which AOI machine will be better and why?

Hi, It depend on your budget, try to buy those maker can support spare & service . No meaning you buy high end machine but no service support. Try to find regional agent can support on call upon machine break down. Also other factor hand

Your opinion about RoHS and WEEE ?

Electronics Forum | Wed Jan 12 07:15:03 EST 2005 | clampron

Good Morning Everyone, This whole lead free thing has really stirred up the hornets nest! I agree that it doesnt make any technical sense to replace a cheap toxic material for an expensive toxic material that costs more, is more expensive to process

CK, If the contact length with the wave is decreasing when decreasing the conveyer speed and visa versa you need to check the machines electrical or electronics something is very wrong. Contact length is determent by wave design, wave height, convey

Dendritic Growth

Electronics Forum | Mon Mar 23 16:28:14 EDT 2015 | aqueous

Dendritic growth is always a result of three combined factors: Conductive/corrosive residues Electrical current Moisture A wave solder process normally applies a higher volume of flux than a printed process. Flux however is not the only source. F
