Do you have a fixed number of components that you write off each time a feeder is loaded.

Sometimes when a customer has sent parts on reel without any leader, we will take out the first 5-8 parts and then tie off the cover tape with some leftover tape from the last run. We keep those parts we removed and then place them back in the feede

Maybe the problem is not the cutter, but the arm that advance the tape in the adjacent feeder gets actuated at the same time as the active feeder. line-up a feeder in pickup position visually, then turn the crank until the roller or feeder advance me

CP and most other turret style machine have a fixed camera and cannot "see" the feeder.

first you need to have bar code stickers put on to your feeders. You need a tracking software to track your feeders using the bar code.you need to do periodic maintenance on your feeders and very important is calibrations.it is best to set up a feeder

To make it simple: A Feeder protection plate is just a flat piece of metal that hangs over the feeders, inside the machine, and keeps the feeder cover from popping up and crashing the head.

The trick is to put a serial number on each feeder and use a maintenance tracking software. There are commercial software out there that do just that. Some even use the barcodes to track the location of the feeders, so you know which machine it is on

Mydata uses fiducials on their feeders. I am not sure whether or not your are familiar with Mydata feeders, but its pretty basic. The feeders are actually magazines made up of multiple individual feeders. Example: There are 16 8mm feeders in (one)8mm

Tyco has recently completed development work on the ThinPRO feeder. This feeder provides exceptional performance for 0201 and 0402 applications. The feeder is compatable with the IV-C, QSV, QSX, QSP-2, and APS platforms.
