Gun wash is another term used for acrylic laquer thinner. We use DuPont 3642SC. We have much success in its use.

typically when i've seen this problem it is because the back of the mylar is sticky. Have you tried different parts?

Try putting on new springs on the feeders. This a common and frustrating problem with CP6/7 feeders.

We have had the same problem for years. The way we have fixed this is by NOT winding the cover tape the way the diagram shows. We only use the roller that is connected to the index arm. Hope this works for you.
