Universal GSM Feeder Issues

We had occasional problems and usually solve it by pulling out pogo pins slightly to extend them a bit... Also note that electric feeders have "reel empty" sensor that gives the same error message (if you are using cut tape strips without reel)

A lot of these are cut tape (I think nearly all of them)....and they're all on electric feeders.. hmm.....where can I find that reel empty sensor? That would certainly explain a lot! thanks, ..rob

oh....for the feeders moving 2 parts....you must teach a pickup repeat. Make an extent in the pickup editor and attach it to repeat with pick and make it a 2x1 with an 80 mil offset. The machine will then pick the part that is out of the sensor first

Well, actually both the feeders and the machine were bought "as is", so these are not in their better shape. Even more, the feeders are not the machine's originals and don't match each other ; "Un paisano de cada pueblo", as we say here. Some units

Gah! We found the reel empty sensor on the feeders late yesterday. Now, I'm feeling a little dumb after this episode! Apparently, I have a few feeders that have had this "feature" disabled (or that it's broken on), which made it even more di

I used to wrench on those all the time! I really should be more help to you but it was a few years ago... A few more things to check - clean the line sensors on the back of the machine. Check to make sure you don't have a feeder that is allowing t

I know exactly what your problem is as I have seen it many times. Your problem is with indexer 1 (the cylinder which runs up and down and actuates feeders on side 1). At each end of the travel of the indexer is a micro switch hidden down below the be

Oh, the CSM only has one XY offset for each feeder rail. If you don't like it, you can teach any particular feeder location. The crazy thing is the teach camera is an inch in front of the heads (-25 mm Y) so you can't put the teach camera over the

Changing the pitch on the newer feeders is a little bit different and involves adjusting the location of a sensor. Where we lose the parts is at change-over. There are some reels that we might put on and take off a feeder 20 times before the reel is
