Pete I'm not very informed about it but from the things I red today - 2D inspection : solder component solder joints x-ray and what ever type exsist.

The Accuflex is a similar platform to DEk with one big difference,,, the 2D inspection works and can be used as a reliable process tool. The UP3000 is a reasonable machine however WAY TOO BIG

hi, The 2D uses gray scale analysis to calculate area coverage of paste on the pad. Off-line programming was offered via CircuitCAM from Aegis.

Shopping for 265GSX, stay away from Black Camera (or any 265EX), for supportability issues. If you have expectation of useful 2D inspection it must have GREEN camera. See notes: http://www.dekhead.com/id31.html
