On the new 4797 T12W8P feeders we are having trouble picking the very thin chip resistors. Adding foam to the feeder (beneath the pick point) helps, but it only minimizes our frustration. Universal has a reel of these parts and they are looking into

Yes to all of the above with the exception of the part sticking. The same parts are EASILY picked using the 4790/91 feeders on a 4790/91 machine. The new feeders just flip the part out when the feeder advances. Thanks! Lee

Agreed that the FCM has been the choice in the past...but have you seen the 4797S HSP (TCM X100)? Usually (2) 4797S's can replace (1) FCM for about the same purchase price, and only a slighly larger footprint (consider the cost of ownership as well..
