Hi, We have a 5 zone oven and we use a RTS Profile. Our last zone is the zone that the reflow takes place. some basic analysis is as follows: TAL 70 secs, peak temp 210,ramp rate seems fine. A typical setting is : Z1 140 Z2 160 Z3 160 Z4 185 Z5 220

Greg, The best advice that I can give you is a PBGA will respond just like any other surface mount package. There may be a 5 degree delta between a PBGA 356 and a QFP208 but the two respond very similarly in the convection reflow environment. CBGAs

Starting out, get a Vmole from ECD if you are worried about the cost. Fairly inexpensive, and you get a good in oven profiler, decent software that allows you to do some prediction and profiling tracking and lots of oven models preinstalled.
