Baking components at 70 degree

I'm inclined to suggest that you use a specified temperature, thus eliminating your situation. Why not use 90C? I suppose you could calculate a duration for 70 based on the requirements at 40 and 90 if you really wanted to, but still I wonder why.

Dear Steve. We are EMS company and we are getting wide range of components from our customers. Some of them came in trays, that can withstand up to 75 degree maximum. If someone will not pay attention to this the tray get damaged (if there is some Q

As I told you, some carriers (trays) are limited to 75 degree maximum, and from time to time employees do not pay attention to this. This is one of the reasons. The second reason is that 90 degree still be problematic in a case of rebake more then 3

I see. You might request that those parts be provided in the proper trays (125) for starters, but I do understand the issues with contract assembly. I'd be inclined to write a program to pick them from that tray and place them into a proper one. Wh

Profiling on rail vs mesh conveyors

Electronics Forum | Tue Dec 15 12:23:47 EST 2009 | swag

I have moved golden boards from chains to mesh as I got tired of fishing t-couples under the chain rail. I saw a 3-5 deg. decrease on top-side parts peak temp. (all t-couples were on top side). I had to bump zones 6 and 7 a few degrees to make up f

jamm, As with the other answers you've received, I agree there will be a difference. The question is will the difference between the temperatures of the product profiled at the mesh belt put you out of spec when you run production on the rail? the ke

TO-220 Chip Package - Bridges

We use a Wave Solder Plated Through Hole (PTH) assembly process to install a TO-220 Chip Package in the PCB board that we manufacture and have experienced lower yields on a number of boards with this component due to Bridges. The bridges on the TO-22

Converting 8040 Turn conveyor to LEFT turn

R SMT line flow to a R->L flow after the 90 degree turn. We have some equipment that is R->L and wish to interface to the end of this line. So the flow is oven (with enough air blowers that the 8040 is cool) -> 8040 turnstyle to move LEFT (technicall

Epoxied Parts Falling Off

Call your glue manufacturer. It sounds to me that the epoxy is not curing properly. You should also test for shear strenght. How many pounds of pressure does it take to "pop" a cured component after it comes out of the oven? What type of oven do you
