Folks - does anyone know of any "accurate measuring devices" for counting components in the stockroom. We use a photo copy of the tape and reel to get a measuring scale for counting components in the stockroom. Is there some industry std for the abo

Why don't you estimate a board, then do a time study when you actually build the board to see how accurate the estimate was. This works very well in convinceing someone how accurate you are. Jerry

Proper fiducials are going to be more accurate than drill holes. Since drilling is a separate step in the PCB fab process, the registration to the PCB isn't as accurate as the copper etching process which forms the fiducials. In a pinch, it can be u

I believe that most of those guns are only calibrated to be accurate when reading a non-reflective black surface. Board to board would mostly be accurate in comparing them, but if you are trying to hit a specific temp, you'll need a piece of dull bl

You'll struggle to find low end machines that accurately and reliably place 0201's (despite some of the manufacturers claims). You'll also obviously need to place the larger components on the same platform, accurately which will really cost you.

Advertisements are not always 100% accurate on technical issues. You don't want instand static discharge. A wrist strap with no resistor could cause that. Therefore put in a current limiting resistor to make the charge dissipate slowly. Does anyone

Hi Has anyone managed to accurately produce a spreadsheet or formula that will accurately calculate the amount of boards your SMT line will produce an hour. I work in a high mix low volume industry and we are constantly taking on new jobs but have n

John, Instead of dispensing the adhesive, why not screen print the adhesive on the PCB? The deposition is very repeatable and accurate.

Your estimate will become more accurate as you increase levels of the subtasks.
