Inductive effect is the electron attraction force between chemical moieties. Inductive effect in flux activator would stabilize the dissociated organic acid, thus enhance the acidity, therefore increase the flux activity.

Density is an "implied" measurement to determine activity. Most flux suppliers can sell you a flux acidity (activity) measurement kit. I used one from Multicore a few years back. We used it once in the morning and once after lunch to monitor no-clean

"Dibasic" means a molecule containind two acid functional groups, such as carboxylic acid. The inductive effect makes the dibasic activator more active than mono-basic activator.

No don't know about such a chart. But, consider changing the method used to check flux activity. Consult your flux supplier for a test kit that will measure actual activity (acidity). SG is a suggestive method.

As I know, the encapsulation effect occurs only with rosin based fluxes. So if you have a PBA soldered using RA Flux, you should either wash it well, or leave it alone and it will be safe. For NC process the story is different because theres no re

Rosin. A hard, natural resin, consisting of abietic acid [and pimaric acids in Europe] and their isomers, some fatty acids, and terepene hydrocarbons. Rosin is extracted from pine tree stumps. Its an organic material distilled from oleoresin in p

No, none of us can tell you what is the acceptable level of halide content or contamination in flux residue. The level of harmful residues on your product helps determine the reliability of your product. We know nothing of your product, its custome

Here are some answers to my questions after a good research. I also added more definitions that could help understand this esoteric language used in assembly, specially surrounding fluxes and their use. In blue italics are comments and extracts from
