Batch Ovens

Electronics Forum | Sat Nov 05 07:17:25 EST 2005 | JeffP

That was the case with your oven but it is not so with ours. First, the distance from walls of the inner chamber to the product differs from one oven to another. Second, the dissipation of heat from metal heats up the air in the oven which in turn h

Ask Air Vac (US) or Zevac for EU and ASIA. They have now a DRS-24 upgrading Kit for Leed-Free, main change is in the bottom heater. Air Vac- Zevac, made the ONIX series, the follow on of DRS models. Regards.....GS

hi, we have recently got a PS-400 BGA reflow from china. has hot air top heater, IR & hotair bottom heater and 6 IR bottom heaters. We are able to handle all type of desktop boards but in few of the laptop boards we still have problem. The profiles

Have you a reflow oven that has upper and lower heaters? Have you a reflow oven that uses hot air as well as elements to control the transfer of heat to various areas? If yes to these, I would suggest increased air flow or change in direction of

Re: CSP Rework

Why worry about the temperature if the top of the chip is 20 degrees C above eutectic - 183 C(at the balls)...if a machine works at convection oven temperatures, with high power, then there's no need to worry...Also, a CSP is a very forgiving chip.

SMT Rework for metal core PCB's

Electronics Forum | Thu Jan 05 10:56:49 EST 2012 | davef

The high thermal mass of metal core boards makes them difficult to heat with hot air convection heating or IR. So, edge heaters are used for effective heating of heavy core circuit boards. Hakko and VJ Electronix offer edge heaters. We imagine othe

Try using Chip Quik to reduce the heat required for component removal. Along with your bottom pre-heater, use a temperature controlled hot air system to help heat up top side for component installation. http://www.pcb-repair.com/products.htm

Reflow Oven Profiling

Electronics Forum | Tue Apr 25 12:29:35 EDT 2006 | Rob

Hi TMC, It's very unlikely that you'll get a temperature variation of 32 degrees by varying the top and bottom heaters - especially if it's forced air convection, as if it's a half decent system the hot air will be circulating in the zone, pretty qu

Parts Blowing off in Reflow Oven

Can you run the board on the other side of the oven??? Can you turn on the oven and set the heat real low and feel the air blowing down over the heaters???? You may be able to tell something is going on that way. Also make sure vibration isnt causing
