I like what you're doing. 20 years ago anyone, hobbyists and tiny garage-shop companies could create electronics devices just as sophisticated and cool as big corporations. Today, SMT has largely trashed the creativity (and competition) that existe

I have seen this on Heller1707 machines also for LED devices. The same job was run on anthoer brand oven (Rehm) and no issue. I think Heller Blower velocity can be a little on higher side as is a low inertia heating system and they have to make up f

Hi, We just had delivered one of these and it's incredible. It's an amazing machine, and watching it load such a large board totally accurately, from end to end is amazing. Apparently we took delivery of only the second machine to ship in the world

You need to adjust the air kiss. The machine blows a slight amount of air after placement and it is probably adjusted too high.

Missing and misplaced components could be down to board supports set too high or too low. Check the ZO and make sure the deflection is set ok at various points across the board. Check the other usuals such as sticking nozzles, correct size nozzle for

Even when you run a board several times, the machine may not make the same travel path every time. This in itself does not create a problem, but the vacuum on the nozzles could be different, dependent on the configuration of components on the heads.

If it were other machines I would suggest the possibility of air kiss blowing the solder away, but mydata's have a release to make sure the air kiss never gets too high. Unless it is not pointing 90 degrees away from the machine like mydata recommend

If the part makes it in the right location by leads touching the paste in the right location, you have very few places to check. 1. Check parameters like air kiss, or some timings you can keep the part down in placement position for a while. Sometim

If you are getting skips on these parts the most common reason for skips is gassing and wave too low. I would agree that wave soldering these parts is not ideal. If the shorts are always in the same location on one or two pins a glue dot done during

You have received some great feedback so far. I would like to summarize and add a few points regarding maintenance. You should start (as recommended already) by verifying your component library data. Using the default values from the master library i
