For now, on this first board, we will be reworking components such as 0805 and 1210 size caps and resistors, along with SOT-23 and SC-70 size packages. We might eventually get into BGAs. This board will most likely be a double-sided board, probably

Well the powers that be actually want to go with a regular rework station, for future growth. I guess they plan on using BGAs sometime in the near future. We're also planning on using a D-Pak device in this first board. So now we're looking at the

Ive used the Camalot long time ago to dispense paste on BGA pads after removal then reflow with a machine such as the AirVac. What is the best way to do BGA repair on pads? Ive read alot just reball the bga then put it back on? Todd

We have both DRS24 and DRS25 Lead Free rework is done for the most part on the DRS25, although the DRS24 can handle some of our smaller pbFree assemblies. We bought the DRS25 machine new, it was not an upgrade. The machine is very successful at pb

As was stated, there are a number of variables that could come into play. I have used AirVac DRS26 and SRT Machines. We are now using Shuttle Star which has IR as well as hot air heat. This works much better for us. You can view these at. http://www.

The current discussion about solder fountains has to do with copper dissolution. Broadly, copper dissolution is the weakening of copper traces where a trace and a barrel plating intersect due a loss of the copper into the solder. Longer contact time

| | I'm having a fun time between BGA rework/repair using an SRT 1000 and SPC efforts (much easier) using DEK stencil printing processes and BTU reflow with 6 Fuji lines in between. | | Concerning the BGA stuff, I'm getting about 60% success using
