2 fiducial alignment vs 3 fiducial alignment , any opinion ? When do we actually need the third fiducial for alignment ?

Hi Jax, The alignment pop up only on some parts and it's random axes. This happens every prototype run that I need to adjust the alignment of some parts. Fiducials are correct and okay. Also had done calibration on our machines. I really suspect that

I'm with Dave on this one. In my opinion, it'd be much more cost effective to add an alignment legend. Speaking from experience, as I've hand placed many BGA's, all you really need to do is hit the pads. Even with Pb Free Chemistries, the part should

I would change the Quad Align cable. If you have a spare head board swap that out as well. Make sure your Quad Align lenses are clean. If the camera is smudged then you can have some problems aligning parts as well. Let us know what you find. Cheers.

Does anybody here have any information or experience with a DEK249 DEK ALIGN II system made by Cybernetics robotics? This system moves the table to align it to reference images. We are getting an old system working, it is mostly there, but we are ha

It sounds like it's just failing the laser align step. Try changing the align type for the part to "2" and see if it places it. If it's failing the laser align and you have valid part dimensions I can't help much but you might consider opening up th

Are you having problems with alignment of BGA's or perceiving that you will have problems. We run thousands and they re-align very well with leadfree if slightly off - Do you handplace all your BGA's? I would imagine there would be cosiderable cos

We occasionally have the same issue with ours, but it is caused when the sensor, (that is supposed to detect when the magazine has emptied), has been knocked out of alignment. If you a transmitter/sensor set mounted at the exit end, make sure that i

Offsets are there to for an alignment change over the entire board... alignment weighting is, essentially to account for imperfect match between stencil and board, and will allow you to concentrate best alignment to a given portion of the board (give

Everytime I have seen an offset like that it was dirt on the quad-align lens.....try cleaning it off with alcohol and a lint free cloth. If this does not fix it....you may have dirt inside the quad align itself. I am assuming you have checked to ma
