Another semi-related question: are the four motion cards the same? (except for the dips, I guess). I have a spare one, marked as T motion, all dips to up position. Can I use as X or Y, if I match the dips? The boards look like to have the same comp

I would like to hear about equipment (all existing) that would do DIP insertion. We have UIC Multimods presently, but as you may or may not know spares and support are becoming an issue. All input is appreciated!

Hello all Is somebody doing leadfree soldering with a dip soldering machine? What kind of alloy are you using? What temperature are you using? Any problems with wetting/soldering quality? Regards Hannu

Hi all, I'm wondering how does one decide to use flux dipping or solder printing when it comes to be attaching CSPs onto the board? Solder printing has an advantage in that there will be a higher throughput on the mounter as there is no flux dippin

These are all good questions. Dip fluxing is fine. Make sure you let all the remaining flux drip off the board. Letting it drip into the pot will cause a lot of spattering of hot solder be careful. Dipping the board slowly into the pot should

I'm sure they'd be open to acrylic, as it'll provide a nicely hardened finish for them once cured. The real question is would it be workable to do what they're asking. That is, thick enough to coat the board when we dip it in without all slopping o

I am looking for some tips of the trade with solder charges. I am using recommended reflow profile in the oven and I am seeing insufficient fill per IPC, and sometimes insufficient end joint. I have tried dipping them in flux also. What are you a

Walter, Read what i posted above about switching the dip switch 8 on dip 1. That will probably solve your problem but once again....make sure you write down all your machine settings because everything will be reset.
