Hi All, I have to solder a device with platinum clad nickel leads to a PCB. I am having a hard time getting solder to flow on to the leads. Are there special proceedures that I need to follow because of the platinum or am I just dealing with contamin

Without seeing a picture, my first instinct would be first and foremost some fixturing that provides full support for your print process. After that, since you are citing bow and twist, consider that the fixturing might as well travel through the ov

You'll find a lot of guides for cutting aluminium on the internet but basically, try and use a bigger end mill if you can, keep it at the right speed (not slower). We cut 1.6mm aluminium with a 3mm end mill. Smaller end mills didn't evacuate the chip

Looking for CTE and young's modulus values for aluminum backed PCB for solder joint predictions. The data sheets are a bit sparse, and the weighted average method somehow doesn't feel appropriate. Any advice is welcome. Thanks!

We had no problems reflowing an assembly on Bergquist Thermal Clad. The assembly was small. So, we built it on a 8-up fixture. It stayed in the fixture from screen print, through pick and place, and into reflow. When the fixture came out of the r
