what type of flux are you using and what type of solder resist is on the PCB solder resist (Gloss or Matte), also what is the orientation of the connector to the wave flow and what is the pitch of the leads? Russ

Regarding Lead Free component finishes, vendors are zeroing in on matte tin plating as the finish of choice. What test are performed, to determine if a finish is "matte" type (vs. non-matte)?

We get this from time to time and I have found that a lot of times the customer or somebody has broken the joints from flexing or other handling. Is this component in the center of the PCBA? Russ
