They are both very good machines however Kohyoung will give you better first pass results meaning a lot less false calls and when you run the first board after initial programming you have to fix very few things. However the cost is a lot more. This

Also should look at Viscom 3088Flex Ultra if after AOI with 3D capability. The camera optics module has many innovative features, super fast data capture - much faster then Mirtek and KohYoung. Both these companies have taken 3DSPI and turned into AO

I can only speak for Mirtec, and no I am not affiliated with them at all. We have had a Mirtec AOI for at least 9 years. We have never had any major issues with it. There support is very good and usually they get right back with you if you cannot get

As Lokit mentioned, the support and spare parts are important. Support for Mirtec has always been very fast responding, but the spare parts are different story. Last two times I needed spare part it took them two weeks(parts are coming from Korea)
