I agree with 3DAOI.com, in that you should be looking at Cyberoptics. They have a great product if you MUST have both of these processes in line, and if you must have 3D AOI. If you are willing to go offline, and want to get both AOI and SPI in one

Sorry for such a generic response, but you should consider SPI if you are not happy with the results of your printer. That is probably measured by defects at the AOI. SPI machines are quite expensive. I don't see the point of them when you can just b

You misunderstand me. I won't use the AOI as SPI. If the machine can handle solder paste data I will turn off this algorithms. So AOI have to be only AOI without any SPI data check.

Is there any stardarts to help us what tolerance values (max or min. height, weight, volume etc) should we use while programming AOI and SPI.

Rob, I have done it different ways. For the centroid you can do offline CircuitCAM or Valor or even pure Excell. I have used even pick and place machines files to extract data for AOI/SPI programming. These locations and coordinates are already there

1.Yes but you want specific SPI & AOI machines. Same manufacturer can provide both. 2. Yes but not as well as an SPI machine. 3. Don't understand question. 4-7 You should do your research, or hire someone with the expertise you require.

Koh Young is number one in both of these sectors for a reason, they do what they say they will, and they do it easily and repeatably. Cost is a bit higher, but I believe in this case you get what you pay for.
