I am running a product with board size ~18"X16". I faced stencil aperture positional accuracy issue which slightly shifted at both end of stencil at positive and negative in X direction thus causing solder paste to pad mis-registration. Due to this s

I'm wrong about the MPM AP. I got my model designation crossed-up and was thinking of an older unit. I apologize to MPM for for my unfair criticism of their product.

When printing below .5mm pitch, the recommended stencil thickness is 5Thou, laser cut. Do not use any reduction and ensure wherever possible the pad to space ration is 1:1, the length of the pad is not as important as the gap between adjacent pads. T

Mark, You've already received some good advice from the other posters. The one thing I would add is that even if you solve your printing issues on this type of part, the relative small quantity of paste may be prone to soldering problems. Ever s

How do 0.5 mm pads on the board help paste release from the stencil? Paste release from the stencil is a function of: * Paste * Printer operation * Stencil design You have no obligation to made your stencil apertures the same size as the pads on yo

sree, There is no Definite. You have to make the call. If you think the previous info was on target, use the info provided to find out the appropriate percentage relation between ball diameter, pad diameter, and aperture size. If you already run BGA,

Hi Jax, The microbga discussed earlier in the forum is mounted on 16 mils pad whereas mine is on 12 mils pad. Can I use the same aperture opening ?Please advise.
