I have to place the element as in the attachment. The nozzle grabs the quartz, but it is not the center of the module and I cannot recognize it correctly. How to deal with the shift? What do you treat such elements - chip, IC, other?

You can enter Centre Offset X and Y in Component Info of VIOS to change the pickup centre. That will not change the recognition centre.

1) Thank you, I have instructions. 2) I don't have a phone number, I don't know English very well. I stopped looking - the element is too heavy and rotates on the nozzle during transfer.

Hi. Did you get this issue resolved? 1) do you have the Yamaha manual for the many options for such definition? I recall examples including odd shaped shields and connectors that may work. Let me know if you need this manual. 2) have you phoned Yam

Hi. The PCB does not look to be heavy. Suggest you try to email their staff - they are very good. Personally have worked with Scott there and he knows the VIOS software very well. https://trans-tec-america.com/contact/ We have the Assembleon Eme

I've never placed one of these before, but it looks like a poorly designed part. It has pads scattered asymmetrically around the body of the part. when it reflows this is going to apply uneven forces to the component, causing it to skew. I guess hav

Solder Joint Stress

Here's one take on what you seem to be asking: * After a point, more solder is more stress than the proper amount of solder would produce. * Asymmetrical amounts of solder produce more stress than balanced amounts of solder would produce.

That's a good summary and the only thing I would add to that is maybe to include an image of the land pattern in your collection. Some of these asymmetrical parts are just about impossible to provide all of the dimensions for. For instance, who want

My experience with our process is that those parameters would result in a big bridging problem. I'm working with a stencil designer at our fabricator on an asymmetrical aperture design that hopefully balances forces enough to keep the parts centered.
