Ok,I agree, you're right. I also noticed at the last few days, there is no standart format for it. What I'm searching is a programm, that can convert different files (for example a paf-file) into a textfile with Ref, Xpos, Ypos, deg and top/bottom. F

What do you want to do with the gerber file? Most gerber outputted data is in ascii and can be read with notepad or any text editor. If you want to view the gerber data there are free viewers on the web ie: gerbv.sourceforge.net Hope this helps.

I always got told if someone can extract gerber file they can also extract cad file. If this is a customer I would put it back on them to get you the cad file.
