More questions about programming components. Is there a comprehensive programming guide for these machines? How does "image capture" & "Autoteach" work? we have a few parts that we are struggling with and they seem simple devices? Pics attached.

Like SWAG said most of them are on the datasheets from the manufacturer, the hard way is to get the caliper an start measuring the component, other is the autoteach function in the machine, does your machine has that option?

we have a My9 using 2.4.6B software. the auto teach for new components option is there when creating a new package. but when i select it, it wont work. does this mean i need a software upgrade or does this mean the auto teach was disabled? when i hit

Thanks for reply we have found a blown fuse on the back plane for the mot-z pcb . But we now have problems with Z height, i am trying to auto-teach devices from the tray wagon (qfp etc) and it is not always lowering the nozzle to the component. i ha

Start by verifying the component definition, the thickness is critical. HSP 4796 uses nozzle 81 for 0402's. Make sure is using the right nozzle. If you need to, use the autoteach function to physically teach the dimensions of it, thickness included.
