I forgot to mention that I've measured and adjusted the cog play on the x axis and so it is within range, if that applies.

Cant put a finger on it being an encoder that was just a single possibility. You can always hook up a scope to the encoder and see if they are working appropriately. I would look through the machine's utilities and see if there is some debug or more

GSM1 zero - timeout waiting for spindle up error

I have a GSM1 that when try to zero it, it stops with the "Timeout waiting for spindle up" message. To get thsi up and running, I have set all my machine settings to default and had to reselect the head from a C4 1 head to the flex head. I initially

Apparently the machine is now completing initialization but when attempting to zero axis' it has a time-out waiting to change modes. Machine status page shows an error reading "initialization failure for motion control board."

acceleration is set to lowest. Ribbon cables were replaced, theta motor replaced. I also see a message pop up just after F-MOT1-26/156:MOVFI: MOTOR TIMEOUT / F-AXIS-182:C-AXIS NOT properly out when expected / 25v reads 3V. Now all these messages
