It's been a minute...but, does the My9 still have MOT boards in the computer cage? If so, swap the MOTz with the MOTx or MOTy, and see if the problem moves. If so, replace the motor controller board. If not, +1 on the encoder or Z-motor. Check fo

I would check the following: 1. Make sure the head can move in all axis including z and theta by physically moving each. 2. Check the voltage from the main power supply which is located in the middle of the machine on the top of the main board asse

No, each card in LP servo rack drives only one motor. But there is an servo cotnroller board (actually 3 of them) in the VME rack (where all computers are). Third one from the left(slot13) controls head2 theta and z axis. That might be a cause of you

Hello, This is from my old documents....hope it helps. I would first try mod code 53 = 2 first.....if the machine is a 2C. The motor was known for causing this problem after getting old. These are all resolutions for motor error 4. Step Potential P

I am assuming you are initializing each motor individually through the service program. The z motor theta is hard to see so I put a mark on it with a colored marker so you can watch if the midas tool nozzle is actually turning or not. You should be a

So...today, we were able to get rid of the z axis not mounted error. It looks like we did so by modifying the settings in axes location (matched them to the beam 1 settings). Now, when we try to lower the nozzles, we can hear a relay or switch clic

You can have many problems, but the most commons are that your Z belt is too Lose or is time to replace it, the second is that your Z motor went bad. Hope these woks for you
