Our sympathies about the ENIG boards. B:) So, you cut the end off the barrier bag, take 200 boards, heat seal the end of the bag and restock it, build the 200 boards and ship them, right?

Mr Jarvis One experience with black pad makes you promise never to use ENIG again. It's nice that you have a supplier that has avoided that problem.

Thanks for reply, I am mainly concerned when we run a batch of say 200 out of a kit of 400. due to part shortages we might have to revisit the remainder a few weeks later. Its these boards that concern me. we use enig boards. aj...

Thank you for input. Do you bake all PCBs regardless of finish? I spoke with another engineer that says he will bake ENIG at 120 C but not immersion Ag due to it impacting solderability.

Base on my PCB experience, the contamination issue might caused by PCB finishing or SMT process (like oven or printing). Before go further, maybe you can check few things. How many PCB affected per lot?? it might be caused by humidity (storage or pac

after oven bake dry the PCB, we process within 4-hrs, else need to rebake again under same baking parameter. taking a look, the exact pads with the blowholes are full ENIG pads with no via holes under the solder-intend land areas. In event there is

Hi Oswald, Shelf life with ENIG if vacuum sealed and kept in controled enviroment would be 12 to 14 months. Shelf life in shrink wrap - No recomended packaging, 6 moths. If Shelf life goes over the 12 -14 months - Baking ? I would not suggest re-b
