I asked the same question a couple of weeks ago. I received a lot of e-mail from salesmen et al trying to sell me equipment costing several thousand dollars. I was glad to get all the information I could, but there was no way I was going to get a PO

Dougie, If you have square, rectangular etc; shaped PCB's maybe you could have routing between circuits. "V" shaped grooves top and bottom. I found this extremely good especially if the assemblies are wave soldered. No gaps for flowing up and over.

| | I agree with Michael, scoring works great. interesting feedback. | The change to scoring has saved countless hours of trimming tabs, and is much easier on the wrist. As mine in scoring, your experience in a routed, drilled web tab breakaway is

I agree with Michael, scoring works great. We build both and medium size small boards, anywhere from 2 to 100 square inches. Thickness from .030 to .062 Panels contain anywhere from 2 to 16 boards. About half are odd shaped, with cutouts and not

Casimir, The Q and other lead trimmers work extremely well if properly used. Blade life is directly proportional to to the height of the cut. There are a few factors that are very important in trimming. You are working with a solid carbide blade whi

As R&D project leader I have worked at FICO on this issue the last years. Maybe you have found the info you are looking for but for laser cutting are more companies involved than the three you found, the experience I have with laser cutting for PCB p

I do a lot of thermal cycle testing of new components for my company and often when I lay out a test board I'm trying to simulate 4 or 6 layer boards but I don't need them for routing so I just use a solid fill of a cross-hatch pattern. I've done it

Cracked parts close to the edge on pizza cutters are a common problem. There are a lot of stresses on the board as the blade cuts through the board. Raising the blade height so that the boards are not cut clean through will help. You will have to fi

| | | | | We are in the process of deciding whether to change a PCB product from a single board to a 3 up panel array. Could you please advise on the most effective removal design, either scoring or snap off, taking into account that material utili

| I'm also in the "Don't score it" camp. Routed breakaways are much better. If your wave solder process has decent control on the wave height, you shouldn't worry about flooding the boards. | The fine pitch consideration for panelizing - Since you
