Try to make a copy of the default programme while creating a new programme and overwrite it.. to ensure that machine paramters are the same as the default programme.

If you go to the BOARD drop down menu, and choose AUTO-PLACE labels, it will resize them as it sees fit. Which sometimes works, and sometimes makes it worse.
