The E5s I had just needed the fids to be burned black. Never needed epoxy, although we did have one stencil that we had to touch up with a sharpie now and then because they didn't burn it dark enough (too hot...?).

Could be that your temperature ramp up rate is too fast. This could cause the flux in the solder paste to burn off too rapidly. When that happens, it can expand as it heats up and burns off, causing the solder to get spread out from the pad.

You are lucky, out of 4 machines we have 2 failed withing first year. One has Panasonic X-axe servo driver burned. The other machine has the ASIC board burned. Nothing that can't be repaired, but still annoying as we had to wait 1 month for replaceme
